
Firmware Developer Intern - 2025/2026/2027 Batch
Role Overview
We're hiring Firmware Developer Interns from the 2025/2026/2027 graduating batch to work on the low-level software that powers Nevon AI's IoT devices - from sensor drivers to communication protocols and on-device AI inference. You'll get hands-on exposure to embedded systems under the mentorship of senior firmware engineers.
Eligibility
- Pursuing a Bachelor's/Master's degree (CS, ECE, EEE, or related), graduating in 2025, 2026 or 2027
- Available for a 6-month internship, with the start date confirmed during the interview process
- Open to both PPO-track interns (pre-placement offer potential) and short-term interns, depending on your program structure
Responsibilities
- Write and debug firmware in C/C++ for embedded devices
- Assist in developing sensor drivers and communication protocols
- Write Python scripts for testing, automation and tooling
- Profile and debug firmware performance (memory, timing, power)
- Support integration of AI models onto embedded hardware
- Document work and collaborate with hardware and AI/ML teams
Required Skills
- Strong fundamentals in C/C++ and embedded programming concepts
- Working knowledge of Python for scripting and tooling
- Understanding of microcontrollers and communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI)
- Git and Linux command-line familiarity
- Strong problem-solving mindset, eager to learn embedded/firmware workflows
Nice to Have
- Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS or similar)
- Exposure to embedded/edge AI (Jetson, Raspberry Pi, i.MX-class SoCs)
- Experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, JTAG)
- Personal projects involving microcontrollers (Arduino, ESP32, STM32)
